As part of the #ErasmusDays celebration, an international six-day celebration of the Erasmus+ programme, Lebanon’s SE.TC project is making waves by promoting social entrepreneurship among young people. Launched in December 2023 under the Erasmus+ (KA2) programme, SE.TC aims to transform Lebanon’s higher education system by fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, empowering youth to create social and economic change.
To mark Erasmus Days, the SE.TC team has released a video that outlines the project’s mission and expected outcomes. The video showcases how SE.TC supports social entrepreneurship by equipping students and educators with innovative approaches. It emphasizes the project’s role in fostering youth-led businesses that address critical social issues such as poverty reduction, inclusion, and employment creation.
The video also features the inspiring testimony of Firas Yehya, a University Saint Joseph graduate. Firas is the founder of “Apple House Company”, a social enterprise that supports local farmers in Lebanon, contributing to sustainable economic growth. His success story is a key example of how the SE.TC project is empowering young entrepreneurs to create meaningful change in their communities.
With the release of this video, the SE.TC project joins the global Erasmus Days celebration, highlighting the impact of Erasmus+ initiatives and their role in building a brighter future through education and collaboration.
