After their successful start in Beirut, the SE.TC Erasmus+ workshops have reached northern Lebanon, where East International University (EIU) hosted a dynamic four-day training in Tripoli to inspire and equip young people with the skills to launch socially impactful enterprises.
From June 23 to 27, 2025, 20 motivated students gathered on the EIU campus for an intensive, hands-on program that brought the SE.TC curriculum to life. Led by a team of experienced instructors – Dr. Nazih El-Jor, Dr. Hani Mawlawi, Dr. Majdi Awad, and Mrs. Mayada Jalloul – the sessions blended interactive lectures, teamwork, and coaching to guide students from ideation to validation of their project ideas.
Over the course of the workshop, participants explored all seven SE.TC modules, tackling themes such as:
- Designing social impact and value propositions
- Marketing strategies and leadership for social enterprises
- Digital tools and innovation in entrepreneurship
- Financial sustainability, revenue models, and investor pitching
- Legal frameworks and compliance
The learning environment was highly interactive, with case studies, role plays, financial simulations, and group activities. Students showed exceptional engagement, particularly in mastering financial concepts and building realistic business models.
On the final day, student teams pitched their socially-driven projects to the trainer panel, who evaluated them based on innovation, feasibility, and relevance to community needs. The initiative not only strengthened students’ entrepreneurial mindset but also highlighted their creativity in designing solutions for pressing local challenges.

This workshop is part of the broader SE.TC pilot workshops, taking place simultaneously across partner institutions. By moving from Beirut to Tripoli, EIU reaffirmed its role as a hub for youth empowerment in northern Lebanon, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to advancing social entrepreneurship and community resilience.
