Within the framework of the SE.TC project and under the leadership of East International University, a new training session on social entrepreneurship was delivered on Friday, 9 January 2026, at Keen International’s center in Bekaa, bringing together 15 young participants to explore how community-driven business ideas can also generate sustainable income.
The session introduced participants to the core principles of social entrepreneurship, highlighting how social enterprises can respond to local needs while remaining financially viable, especially in vulnerable regions. The training used an interactive methodology that combined short theoretical inputs, practical examples, case studies, group discussions, and hands-on activities.
The group included 10 women and 5 men, with two participants with disabilities, reflecting SE.TC’s commitment to inclusion and equal access to skills-building opportunities. Participants demonstrated high engagement throughout the training activities.
The training was facilitated by Nada El Mais, a certified trainer and social entrepreneur, and founder of Keen International, with extensive experience mentoring entrepreneurs and supporting livelihoods and social development initiatives in Lebanon.
SE.TC contributes to improving livelihoods by equipping communities with practical entrepreneurship tools—supporting economic resilience and local opportunity creation.
